You did not choose me, no, I chose you... John 15 :16 This was the scriptural passage from which Sr Florence Etanki Elumpe drew her strength to surrender her life to God totally on the 10th of May 2014 in St Joseph's Parish Church, Tiko.

The ceremony of Final Profession began with a Eucharistic Celebration at 10:00 am prompt officiated by his Lordship Immanuel Bushu, bishop of Buea. It was a grace-filled event for the Cameroon Region in particular and the Congregation of the Sisters of Christ as a whole, to receive another permanent member into the Congregation.
We continue to pray for Sr Florence and we thank God immensely for her biological family who supported her in answering God's call in a special way.

We must acknowledge the fact that this celebration of Final Vows was the very first of its kind to be celebrated in St Joseph’s parish, Tiko. Many parishioners were very happy to witness, for the first time, such a solemn ceremony unlike ordinations to the priesthood which are so frequently witnessed.
One thrilling aspect in the life of Sr Florence is that, she grew up with the Sisters in Tiko as her Father was a house help to the Sisters. Sr Brigid Quinn took her mother to the hospital that blessed night when Sr Florence came into this world. We often recall this happy event and it brings to mind so much the wonder and presence of God in our midst. As the Psalmist rightly says: “Who can probe the mind of God?”
We were also very blessed to have Sister Joyce Bone, delegated to receive the Final Vows of Sr Florence, Sr Albertine Rakotosoa from the Generalate and Sr Mariane Raharisoa Provincial from Madagascar. We all say WELCOME to Sr Florence Elumpe and we wish her a happy life in the Congregation.
