VIDEO : Sister of Christ, who is your God ?
CAMEROON : 14 November 2015 A new stage in the life of the Region...
At the beginning of their mandate in general government, Sister Emerentienne, newly elected Superior General and Claudie Berger, General Counsellor, arrived in Cameroon to meet the Sisters in their areas of Mission and to install the new Regional Superior, Mama Viviane and her Counsellors.
The previous Regional, Sister Maria Luisa, had been elected as a General Counsellor at the General Chapter in July 2015.
At 18.00 hours everyone went to the chapel for the beginning of the ceremony. It started with Vespers led by the host Community, Nkongsamba.
Hymns had been carefully chosen...
and the voices sounded heavenly... 
Waouh!
Had the angels descended into the chapel? Perhaps... but the solemnity of the Sisters witnessed to the importance of the occasion.
After the reading of the Word of God. Sister Emerentienne pronounced the “Sending on Mission” statement. She gave the new Regional a lighted candle, the light of the Risen One which will enlighten her pathway but also the light she will use to inspire and govern her Sisters. After this she and her counsellors were given a letter of Mission.
All the Sisters present sang the Magnificat in thanksgiving for this new beginning in the life of the Region
When Vespers and the ceremony of missioning had finished the celebrations continued both in the dining room and the community room: photos, shared news and rejoicing with Sisters Emerentienne and Claudie. What a joy it was to experience this moment of deep communion in the Cameroon Region; we could have echoed the words of Saint Peter,”Lord, let us build three tents here”!
