13th October 2012: Missioning of the new Regional Council in Cameroon

Sister Françoise Caron, superior general, installed Sister Maria Luisa as Regional, and her three councillors: Sisters Rillindis, Viviane and Beatrice.

This council reflects the international character of the Congregation: 1 Chilean, 1 Cameroonian and 2 Malagasy.

All the sisters and the novices took part in this important event for the Cameroonian Region.

During the celebration, punctuated with songs in different languages, Sister Françoise underlined the mission of the sisters –“all the communities have an international flavour and all are committed to the formation of young people. May this land of Cameroon, cared for and made fruitful by sisters coming from all the countries where we are present, experience the joy of seeing the charism of the Sisters of Christ grow here.”

Then Sister Françoise invited each sister to welcome this new council. “There are not sisters who exercise authority and sisters who obey! We all obey God’s will which becomes explicit and is revealed by the expression of the roles and function of each one”, said Sister Françoise.

A friendly meal ended the celebration before each one took the road back home to live the mission which she has received.
