A diocesan assembly of the Eucharistic movement focused on spiritual renewal

Diocesan Assembly of the Eucharistic Movement

Two of our sisters participated in this meeting: Sister Angeline from the Santa Maria community and Sister Sarah from the host community.

The leaders of the Eucharistic Movement (EYM) of the diocese of Ihosy held its assembly from April 8 to 10, 2026 at the diocesan center of Ampandratokana, bringing together representatives of all the districts.

It is our congregation that ensures the management and service of this diocesan center, in collaboration with a priest of the diocese. Two of our sisters participated in this meeting: Sister Angeline from the Santa Maria community and Sister Sarah from the host community.

The main objective is to revive the spiritual life of the members and strengthen their commitment. The meeting began with a Mass presided over by Father Randrianirina Jean Noël, Vicar General of the diocese. He recalled the importance of being authentic witnesses of Christ in daily life.

The participants also benefited from training and sharing, particularly on Ignatian spirituality, the "Way of the Heart" and human rights, with an awareness of the fight against violence. The trainings made it possible to take stock of the life of the movement in the districts. In addition, the diocese of Ihosy is preparing to host the AFAFI FET assembly in 2027, in accordance with the decision taken in Mananjary in 2024. This meeting was thus a strong time of communion, formation and spiritual renewal for all the members.
