Annual retreat of the sisters, just before our golden jubilee
Sisters of Christ - Union Mysterium Christi
As part of the celebration of the jubilee of our 50 years of Union, the fourth group of the Sisters of Christ of the Malagasy Province lived the spiritual retreat in Ambatolampy from July 24 to August 1, 2026.
49 sisters and 3 associate priests participated, Fathers Jean Marie, Jacket, and Roger, from the diocese of Antsirabe. Father Nicolas, a Jesuit, preached the retreat. He accompanied the participants through conferences, times of prayer, meditation, adoration to the Blessed Sacrament, the Eucharist and sharing.
Sister Marianne, General Councillor, and Sister Olga, missionary in Cameroon, were also present. Their participation was a sign of fraternal communion and support for the entire Congregation. During these eight days, the participants took the time to listen to the Word of God, to renew their spiritual life and to strengthen their commitment to following Christ. This retreat allowed everyone to regain strength, to deepen their faith and to receive new graces to continue their mission.
A few days before the celebration of the Jubilee, scheduled for August 9, 2026, this retreat was an important step in preparation for all and more particularly for the Jubilee Sisters of 25 years and 60 years of consecrated life. The retreatants left with a renewed heart, filled with hope and joy, ready to continue their mission in the service of God and their brothers and sisters.
MAY THIS JUBILEE YEAR BE A SOURCE OF BLESSINGS, FIDELITY AND NEW MISSIONARY ZEAL FOR THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION OF THE SISTERS OF CHRIST - UNION MYSTERIUM CHRISTI.
