Meeting of the Sisters of Christ of the Chilean Province, on the 8th January 2013

During the year, the sisters were invited to choose texts in the Gospel which would help them deepen the attitudes of Jesus towards everyone and in particular, communication with others and solidarity. In community, the sisters used the praying method “lectio divina” for each text chosen.

An ordinary day in May at St Thomas Priory, Epernon

It's 7 am, the sparrows are singing in the park, “Quicker, quicker... ” Actually, the baker has already been and gone. There is a smell of fresh bread in the corridor and coffee as well. The early risers are coming down for breakfast: a pilgrim on his way to St James, a professional man doing temporary environmental work for a firm in the area, the Sisters of Christ, students here for a time of revision for exams, a catechist doing a silent, individually guided retreat.

Mission in Chiloé

For nearly two weeks, I was in the land of Chiloé. The inhabitants are Chilean but their own traditions and culture.

COMMUNITY OF GRANEROS

On 7th March 2015, we arrived in Graneros and opened a new community formed of four sisters :María de los Ángeles, Mirella, María Elena and Nirina. We were vey well received and had an excellent meal prepared by the sister-in-law of Sister María Elena Vega.
