COMMUNITY OF GRANEROS
We were vey well received and had an excellent meal prepared by the sister-in-law of Sister María Elena Vega.
We took some time to settle into our house in order to make it a pleasant and attractive setting in which to welcome visitors and give them a fraternal witness.
On 11th March, we were visited by our bishop Alejandro Goic of the diocese of Sainte Croix of Rancagua.
He gave us some documents, including:
• Pastoral Year 2015 with the celebration for the 90 years of the diocesan Church.
• The proposal of the 2nd diocesan synod.
• The desire for a Eucharistic Church that is fraternal, missionary and in solidarity with others and
• To accept the Orientations of Pope Francis.
On 24th March, we had a meeting with the Bishop and the ten members of the Pastoral Group of the parish, that is, the parish priest, the curate, 2 Redemptorist sisters, a permanent deacon, a seminarist and us, the 4 Sisters of Christ.

The bishop gave us a general vision of the parish of Notre Dame of Carmen and the its 13 communities, putting the emphasis on the places which have the most need of evangelisation like a boarding school for children in vulnable situations.
He specially asked us all to WORK IN A UNITED MANNER AND TO PRAY TOGETHER.
On 12th April, the Bishop installed the new parish priest and missioned the sisters.
We have started to live in our locality by sharing in the Eucharist, getting to know our neighbours, working in the pastoral life of the parish and starting ‘pastoral care of the suffering’, an instance which tries to help those who have lost someone dear to them.
