Sister May MAGENIS

We announce with sadness the death of Sister May Magenis of the Sittingbourne community, in her 94th year of life, including 72 years of religious life.

« My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish his work » (Jn 4,34)

Born into a large family in Northern Ireland, Sister May first joined the Religious of the Cross of St. Quentin in England. She generously gave her life to the Lord and to the Congregation through many services: teacher, provincial bursar, provincial, then local superior before joining the community of Sittingbourne in June 2016.

Sister May has been tried by a long illness.

We give thanks for her long life of fidelity in the consecrated life.

We join in prayer for her family, her community and the European Region.
