Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of religious life of the Sister Maria Elena

“…and they left everything and followed him." (Lk 5:11)

At 11:30 a.m. that Sunday, the community gathered at the Parish of “Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Graneros” to experience a special moment. On this occasion, the Holy Door was opened, presided over by our pastor, Monsignor Guillermo Vera, who was accompanied by the parish priest, Fr. Alejandro Jorquera.

With joy, faith, and a spirit of closeness, the community entered the temple in procession to participate in the Eucharistic celebration thanking God for the 25 years of religious life of our sister María Elena.

A testimony of gratitude: "I thank God for these 25 years of consecrated life. Everything I have experienced has been a gift of his love and his infinite mercy. My parents taught us the love of God and instilled in us the Catholic faith from a young age. Today I am very happy to have the presence of my family, and I am grateful to be here and to be able to share this significant moment.

Recalling the beginnings of her vocation, Sister Maria Elena shares:

"What caught my attention about the sisters was their lifestyle, very simple and close, and the charisma of the congregation. That helped me to enter religious life."

As a sign of fidelity to the Lord and gratitude for these 25 years of consecrated life, Sister María Elena renewed her commitment before the bishop, Msgr. Guillermo Vera, entrusting her life and mission again to the service of God and the Church.

The joy for these 25 years continued with a fraternal lunch, in which the family of María Elena, the associates and the sisters of the Delegation participated. It was a beautiful opportunity to share, celebrate and thank together this path of consecrated life.

Thank you, Lord, for these 25 years. Thank you for calling me, supporting me and accompanying me.

The meeting was accompanied by a joyful festive atmosphere, animated by the Franciscan sisters, our friends, who contributed with their joy and closeness to make this day an even more special moment.
