CELEBRATION OF AUGUST 06, 2026, IN NKONGSAMBA
CELEBRATION OF AUGUST 06, 2026, IN NKONGSAMBA
Already, on the evening of August 6, a cultural evening organized by the Sisters of Christ took place, during which each of the communities of the sisters, associates and parishioners of Saint Denis "animated" the room with sketches, musical interpretations, dances and the fashion show presented by the Sisters of Christ which had provoked showers of applause and cries of approval from the spectators.

The members of the families of Sister Mildred and the novice Odette, who were going to pronounce their vows the next day, were present in great number; almost all in traditional dress, all joyful and very enthusiastic throughout the evening. All the Sisters of Christ had left aside their outfits. It was necessary for guests to open their eyes to recognize them in their new outfits for the occasion (traditional outfits or loincloths).

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Monsignor Dieudonné Espoir ATANGANA, Bishop of Nkongsamba, in the presence of Sister Pascale BOULIOU, General Councillor, who introduced the Celebration by addressing a word of welcome:
"... Our thanksgiving goes beyond the borders of Cameroon. It reaches our communities in Madagascar, Europe and Chile who are also celebrating or will celebrate this Jubilee.

… In 1976, seven Congregations chose to unite to form a single religious family. This courageous choice was an act of faith in the Holy Spirit and a prophetic sign of communion for the Church.
We also give thanks for the seventy years since the arrival of our first Sisters in Cameroon. Since 1956, they have shared the life of your people with passion, in the service of education, health, pastoral care and human promotion. We give thanks for all those who gave their lives here and for all those who walked alongside them.
In this way, we contemplate God's faithfulness through the generations: a Congregation that is being born, a mission that is taking root, young people who respond today to Christ's call and a Church that continues to hope. At the heart of this Eucharist, we want to give thanks to the Lord for his work and entrust to him the future of our Congregation, of the Church and of our world. »

Apart from the Sisters of Christ, the religious including Superiors General, Provincials and Regional Delegates of other Congregations were part of the celebration. The vast majority of those present at the church were dressed in jubilee loincloths.
The exceptional quality of the animation was such that we had the impression that the choir of Saint Dénis was transformed on this occasion by the light of Christ transfigured. We had the feeling that all the faithful present had only one heart throughout the celebration.
The place of fraternal sharing was impeccably prepared, taking into account the weather, in the gardens of the community of the Sisters of Christ. Despite the large crowd of guests, everyone was welcomed and comfortably installed under a tent. Three buffets consisting of the same menu were arranged in such a way that the service of the meal was easy, quick and served without distinction to the guests. The Fiftieth Anniversary cake made its entrance to songs and the dance steps of the Sisters, it was simply magnificent!
At the moment when it was thought that the diversion should end, the attitude of the guests was such that it seemed as if they wanted "three tents" to be erected, one for Christ, one for the Sisters of Christ and one for the guests.
May Christ lead this Congregation ever more in its great journey among men, a great journey that leads inevitably to salvation.
