Establishment of the Region of Cameroon

Yesterday, was a memorable day for the Sisters of Christ in Cameroon as we celebrated the handover from Delegation to Region.

It was with a Mass vibrating with feeling and faith that our day opened on January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., a real moment of reflection and gratitude. During this sacred service, the formal installation of Sister Chimène as a Regional, as well as her counsellors: Sisters Alice, Jacinta and Noëlla took place.

The atmosphere was filled with blessings, prayers, and a spirit of unity. Together, we recognized a new way of being present for the Sisters of Christ in our mission in Cameroon.

After Mass, we gathered for a shared meal, which not only nourished our bodies, but also strengthened our bonds as communities. This moment of conviviality was rich in laughter and sincere conversations. The sisters exchanged stories, hopes, and aspirations for the future. This time together was essential to strengthen our commitment to supporting each other as we continue the journey with a new structure.

As the day progressed, travel arrangements were made. Some sisters chose to return to their communities on an overnight journey, while others left in the morning. The farewells were charged with warmth and encouragement, as we promised to stay in touch and support each other in our efforts. Each sister left with a new impetus and a renewed sense of belonging, ready to carry the spirit of our Region into her community.

Yesterday’s events were a magnificent mixture of ceremony, fraternity and reflection. With the installation of Sister Chimène and her counsellors, we are more than ever united in our mission. We look forward to continuing this journey together, grounded in faith and unity, as we continue to serve others by deepening the impact it made on each of us.
