ANJOZOROBE involvement of the Association AMIF for development

For more than nine years, the association AMIF (Amitié Madagascar / Ile de France) has developed initiatives of solidarity in conjunction with local authorities and the Sisters of Christ: “Water for Life.”'

From 2004, contacts were made with the Mayor of the district, thanks to Sister Sophie who was in the Community of Sisters living in Anjozorobe:

Then, until 2007, relationships grew progressively ensuring the mutual support which would enable a concrete development project to take place.

In 2007 and 2008 the first work was started.
In this way, a friendship, which will soon be ten years old, was started!

Analyse needs, plan projects-with the support and involvement of the local population and financial partners – regularly follow-up and evaluate actions at ground level,
all of this has enabled the completion of a variety of projects centred on the goal:

Other mini projects creating links of solidarity run in parallel :

A correspondent exchange took place between the 6th class of St Jospph’s college (Anjozorobe), run by the Sisters of Christ, and a 6th Class from St Peter’s in Brunoy (France). The boarders from St Joseph’s, where amenities were improved, have planted a vegetable garden with the help of AMIF; they consume their own produce!

Finally, computers from France will be installed by three trainees, from a school of information technology, who spend six weeks in Anjozorobe during the Summer 2016….
